ROCK.SCOT is a Scottish radio station operated by Caledonia TX Ltd, broadcasting from Scotland under licence from Ofcom (DAB+ multiplex licence) and with music rights cleared through:
Our intended audience is the United Kingdom. Our broadcasting licences, music rights agreements, and statutory permissions cover transmission and listenership within the UK only.
Where listeners outside the United Kingdom access our stream via the internet, this is an unintended consequence of the open nature of online streaming and the algorithms of third-party platforms (e.g. search engines, social media). We do not target, market to, or solicit audiences outside the UK, and we do not pay royalties to overseas collecting societies (such as SoundExchange in the United States, SOCAN in Canada, APRA AMCOS in Australia, GEMA in Germany, or any equivalent body in any other territory).
Overseas listeners access our service at their own initiative and on the understanding that ROCK.SCOT operates exclusively under UK broadcasting and copyright law. Any claim for licensing fees, royalties, or other compensation by non-UK collecting societies, rights holders, or representative organisations in respect of listeners outside the UK is expressly rejected. No fees are owed to any non-UK collecting society, and any such claim should be directed to the listener's own jurisdiction's framework for incidental online access.
Our broadcasting service is provided "as is" and "as available". While we make every effort to maintain continuous service, we do not warrant or guarantee:
Service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party service failures (e.g. streaming providers, internet connectivity), regulatory requirements, or events outside our reasonable control. We accept no liability for any loss or inconvenience arising from service interruption.
These Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
The parties irrevocably agree that the courts of Scotland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or their subject matter or formation.
The local jurisdiction is Paisley, Renfrewshire, and any and all legal action, applications, proceedings, or claims must be raised at Paisley Sheriff Court and at no other forum.
Nothing in this clause limits any statutory consumer rights that you may have which cannot be excluded under applicable law.
